Hermann Müller
Hermann Müller was born in Poona, India in 1936. Of mixed German, Indian and English grandparents, he grew up and studied in St Xaviers, an American Jesuit School in Jaipur. Extremely passionate about athletics and sports, he excelled while at school and went on to teach at St Xaviers for five years as an athletics coach. Following this Hermann was offered an assistant manager’s position in a tea plantation in Assam.
He migrated to Australia in 1967 immediately relocating to Papua New Guinea to manage Siar Plantation and then onto Bali Plantation overseeing large labour forces producing cocoa and copra. In 1978 Hermann relocated to Queensland where he worked for the Basil Stafford Centre in Brisbane with intellectually disabled adults and children. During this time Hermann’s observations in human behaviours, emotions and responses led him to discover that via a compassionate, supportive and loving environment humans have increasing opportunities to heal, grow and flourish.
Inspired by this heart-focused perspective in service to humanity Hermann began pursuing personal spiritual growth and studies into esoteric sciences. It was at this time, in 1987 that Hermann and Marie met for the first time at the Eagle Heights Spiritual Centre on Mount Tamborine. And so began a destined alignment, not only with love and marriage but also for a purposeful Soul partnership that would begin a mission to bring more awareness to humanity for spiritual and physical alignment.
After opening their first spiritual centre in 1989, Harmony, Body and Mind Healing Centre in Canungra, Hermann began to read faces and conduct body-mind analysis. This dedication would quickly become Hermann’s ‘life-work,’ as Hermann developed this into a training from 1992. From 1993 Hermann began travelling globally to New Zealand, Singapore, Canada, Sweden, Germany, Europe and throughout Australia to spread the wisdom and teachings of what would be recognised as Psychosomatic Therapy. This training has been successfully accredited by the Australian government since 2004 and translated into French and German.
Hermann’s qualifications included Master Practitioner in NLP, Hypnotherapy, Dip. Metaphysics & Spiritual Counselling. He appeared on TV, radio and stages all over the world sharing his knowledge and teachings on Psychosomatic Therapy, Body Language and topics of spiritual growth. Hermann is the author of books, ‘Face to Face with Facts,’ ‘Guidance from The Masters’ and ‘The Time is Now,’ as well various meditation cd’s.
Hermann describes his work as: “Weaving the Body-Mind with Spirit - Trace the silken threads, woven so delicately, that create the mosaic designs on the fabric of life”.
Until Hermann’s passing in December 2017 Hermann remained exuberantly spirited about his work. Hermann’s infamous strength & drive, along with the transmission of psychosomatic intelligence, remains present in this work and is carried forth by the students, practitioners and teachers of Psychosomatic Therapy. Just like all natural forces, Psychosomatic Therapy is a constantly evolving source of transformational energy that uses the gift of our experiences and our lives as vehicles for definite change by understanding health through studying the messages of the bodymind. This unique training is a combination and process of powerful therapeutic tools delivered in practical methods, in a caring and loving environment.
Many students and people who met Hermann would say that Hermann has the ability to see directly into their hearts and Souls. Awakening them by reminding them of who they truly are, the brilliant shining light within, and that the key to finding peace and purpose is to continue to keep ‘coming home to themselves,’ through the awareness and wisdom of Psychosomatic Therapy. Past students remember Hermann’s wit, humor and play on words, also known as, ‘Hermannism’s, such as ‘The issues are in the tissues!’
Hermann’s life was a shining example of what can be achieved with heart-focused service, will, commitment and self-belief. He encouraged everyone to follow their hearts, listen to their intuition and live to their full potential. With this message of love and encouragement to you is also Hermann’s legacy, a final expression of love:
“I see my life’s work as a chrysalis with which my expression of love and compassion has been of service, founded in the creation of Psychosomatic Therapy. It is your love, dedication and spirit that creates a metamorphosis for this work whereby we can reach beyond our physical forms in a continuum of co-creation.”
